BJP State leaders on Wednesday reviewed preparations for the Lairai Devi zatra scheduled for April 21, with discussions centred on crowd management and coordination between temple authorities and the Goa government to ensure that 2025-like incident is not repeated.

BJP State President Damu Niak, along with local MLA Premendra Shet, State General Secretary Sidharth Kuncalienker and BJP North Goa District President Daya Karbotkar, paid a courtesy visit to the Devasthan, as they were also joined by the Village Sarpanch and Panch members.

“During the visit, the delegation interacted with the Devasthan Committee to review preparedness from both the Devasthan and the Government for Devi’s Zatra. Discussions covered crowd management, safety arrangements, basic amenities, and coordination between temple authorities and administration,” the BJP spokesperson said.

The leaders said the party endeavors to ensure a smooth and safe Darshan for all devotees attending the zatra.

The leaders also interacted with BJYM karyakartas and urged them to arrange volunteers to help manage the large number of devotees expected to throng the temple village during this auspicious time.
