Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday saluted the armed forces for successfully conducting missile strikes on Pakistan under ‘Operation Sindoor’, to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.
Stating that there is no place for terrorism, Sawant said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is emerging as a strong nation to fight and end terrorism. He said that the Goa government and people of Goa stand with the Prime Minister in its “revenge”.
“State cabinet held a discussion on Operation Sindoor. Kudos! to the government of India and Indian Armed forces on the successful execution of operation Sindoor. I salute our armed forces for taking revenge of Pahalgam attack,” Sawant said.
In retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack, Indian armed forces on early Wednesday carried out missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir, destroying major terror camps.
Sawant said that since 2002 to 2024, India has witnessed several major terror attacks like the Parliament attack, Mumbai attack, etc, wherein more than 340 innocent civilians lost lives.
“Under PM leadership, India is emerging as a strong nation to fight and end terrorism. Today the entire country is united,” he commented.
Goa cabinet members Subhash Shirodkar and Rohan Khaunte said that today’s strike was just a beginning and more are on its way.
“PM should not stop with just one strike but continue the war till end,” Shirodkar said.
Khaunte said, “it is a testimony of the strong leadership of Narendra Modiji along with the Armed forces…. it is a movement of pride for India…It is just a start and should be more impactful…it is a time that people understand what their limitations are …We all are happy”.
