Following directions issued by Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai, a joint meeting was held on Saturday to strengthen booth-level preparations for the upcoming by-poll in Ponda, in support of the alliance candidate Ketan Bhatikar.

GFP General Secretary (Org) Durgadas Kamat and District Congress President for Kushavati, Rajesh Verenkar, came together to emphasize that booth management is the backbone of every winning campaign. The leaders asserted that every booth matters and every vote counts.

In a statement, Kamat said the meeting focused on a comprehensive review of booth-level workers, voter outreach, and micro-planning to ensure maximum voter turnout for the alliance candidate. Both parties resolved to work in close coordination to ensure a smooth and effective campaign on the ground, he said.

Kamat said that Sardesai had earlier stressed the importance of grassroots-level preparedness and directed party workers to leave no booth unattended. Following his instructions, ground-level workers have been mobilized across the constituency.

The alliance reiterated its commitment to a clean, transparent, and people-centric campaign, with the sole aim of addressing the issues of Ponda's residents and ensuring development without discrimination, he added.
