The Excise flying squad team on Friday seized a container truck carrying whisky of different brands all valued around Rs 8.41 lakh.
The team headed by Excise Inspector Shamba Naik under the supervision of AC Sanket Sakhardande and SE Nilesh Naik, and along with the Excise team of Salcete taluka, detained and seized the vehicle containing 3346 bulk litres of IMFL.
The total seizure value is pegged at Rs. 33,41,710, out of which liquor value is Rs. 8,41,710 and the value of the vehicle Rs. 25,00,000
Further investigations are in progress.
