South Goa district police Chief Pankaj Kumar Singh along with DySP Harish Madkaikar rushed to Cuncolim after a newborn female infant was found dead near the Cuncolim Industrial estate.
Police suspect the case was murder.
A suspect who was picked up by the police was being questioned till late at night by senior police officials.
Till late night, the senior police officials were at the Cuncolim police station.
