Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday exuded confidence that the people of Goa will react to Congress South Goa candidate Captain Viriato’s remarks on the Constitution and will teach him a lesson in the May 7 election.
“I am cent per cent confident that the people of Goa will teach Captain Viriato a lesson. He has insulted the people of Goa and the freedom fighters who had fought for the Liberation of Goa. No Goan will accept that the Constitution has been thrust upon them”, he told the media during his visit to Margao on Tuesday evening.
While condemning the statement, the Chief Minister said the Congress mentality is to divide Bharat. “Captain’s remarks only go to show the mentality to divide the country”, Sawant said.
