The Shantadurga Devasthan Samiti at Kavelm has stated that the temple will remain closed till further orders, after a Covid-positive person was found in the temple premises.
The temple officials have appealed to devotees to cooperate with the temple committee.
After a gap of eight months, many temples in the State had reopened their premises for devotees, but with new Covid cases being detected, some temples are now planning to stop the entry of devotees.
