Fooling all the people all the time

According to Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) of the Government of India, Ministry of Labour, if you have worked for one hour in the preceding seven days, then you are counted as an employed person.

This definition includes even those with a minimal amount of work which many economists find extremely problematic. No wonder the data that the ministry has put out regarding unemployment is being laughed at every international forum.

The numbers are inaccurate and mask the severity of joblessness and underemployment in the country.

This is how the sarkar is fooling you with fudged data and projecting 'sub changa si'. The worrisome aspect is that even after being aware of the ground reality there are enough of us (mostly the army of Jobless Jacks) who chant 'Modi, Modi, Modi'; good for him but bad for the country.
