When trial process becomes punishment

In our judicial system instead of asking for bail, one should press for trial and a judgment. That will allow you to move to the next court. People don't understand that the lowest court is the trial court and all other courts are courts of appeal. If you are Arnab, some heavyweight neta or a moneybag, you can straightaway go to the highest court of appeal ie. the Supreme Court and seek bail which in most cases is granted speedily. For everyone else, the trial or the start of trial is important. Once a trial starts, then even the judges know that it will take 20-25 years to complete the trial and therefore, it is easier to get bail. The process itself becomes the punishment. What one must then pray for is a speedy trial at the lowest court and a verdict but then that too depends on the judge who is assigned the case and who hopefully doesn't recuse himself either due to prejudices, political pressure or outright threats. After all who would like to suffer the fate of judge Loya.
