For the past two days, a sewerage line directly opposite the South Goa District Hospital has been overflowing continuously, creating a major sanitation concern.

The sewage water is spilling into the adjacent field across from the hospital road, further contaminating the area.

These fields are already littered with garbage and plastic waste, worsening the environmental and health risks. Immediate action is urgently needed to address and close the overflowing sewerage point.

This area sees a high footfall due to the presence of the district hospital, where numerous patients visit daily. Moreover, the presence of a nearby school, residential colonies, and children playing in the vicinity increases the risk of infections and waterborne diseases.

Authorities must intervene without delay to prevent a potential health crisis in this densely populated and sensitive area.
