‘Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink’, an old saying. So here are, talking of water in every household but in reality, there is not a drop of water. Bizarre, isn’t it? But then, I think, we Indians have weird ways of tackling all issues.
The banging of thalis, clapping of hands, lighting lamps to drive away corona. Then we had the slogan, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ slogan on the occasion of India’s 75th year of independence. So, at the end of the day, did the corona go away? Did every household get two square meals, at least one, a day after hoisting the National Flag atop our houses? Slogans will remain slogans. Garibi Hatao is still a dream. The government needs to get real. There’s many ‘a slip between the cup & the lip’!
