As leaders of the major election panels are in the boardrooms giving final touches to their election manifestos, one question that is being asked in the Fatorda countryside is -- will Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai bat for a separate municipal body for Fatorda after the civic polls? Well, when Vijai enjoyed a brief honeymoon with the saffron brigade post-2017 Assembly election, he floated the theory of a separate civic body for Fatorda, a proposal which did not materialize till the last day of the outgoing term. Wait and watch whether Vijai will get the proposal in the Margao Civic Alliance manifesto and whether it will find favour with his Margao counterpart Digambar Kamat.
