Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda beat Raia Sporting Club 2-1 in the Raia Sporting Club Festival football match organised by Raia Sporting Club at Village Panchayat ground, Raia on Friday.
Francis Andrade of Fatorda should have netted but Raia goalkeeper blocked him and Joswel Cardozo, the defender of Raia, stopped the move in the 6th minute. Fatorda midfielder Richie Vaz's shot flew over the Raia crossbar in the tenth minute. Then, Lloyd Cardozo, the striker of Raia, took a shot but failed to find the Fatorda net.
Richie Vaz of Fatorda missed a chance to score. It was Serino Fernandes who scored the first goal with a powerful shot for Fatorda. In the second half, Raia equalised with a placement shot in the 48th minute. Striker Richie Vaz made it 2-1 with a glancing header in the 50th minute.

On the occasion, Fr Rony Fernandes, assistant parish priest of Our Lady of Snows Church, Raia did a small prayer. Curtorim MLA Reginald Lourenco gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Domnic Gauncar, ZP member, Fr Rony Fernandes, assistant parish priest of Our Lady of Snows Church Raia, other dignitaries and club officials.
