Fatorda Veterans beat Verna Veterans 3-0 and moved into the quarterfinals of the 1st Our Lady of Fatima Sports Club Veterans Cup 2022, organised by Our Lady of Fatima Sports Club, Baida Chinchinim at Our Lady of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim.
Fatorda scored the first goal in the 23rd minute through a spot kick by Anthony Pereira. Fatorda led 1-0 at the break. In the second half, Uday Naik doubled the lead for Fatorda Veterans in the 33rd minute. Camilo Monteiro made it 3-0 for Fatorda Veterans. Francis Dias of Fatorda Veterans was named as the Man of the match.
Agxem SC move into title clash
Agxem SC defeated Cumborda SC 2-0 to move into the final of the 6th Jose and Franky Memorial played at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim.
In an exciting semifinal, Agxem scored the first goal through Allan Peixoto in the 15th minute, 1-0. Cumborda tried to level the score but were unlucky as Myron Fernandes' shot hit the crossbar and went out of play.
In the second half, Agxem scored the second goal through Nickson Castanha in the 45th minute, 2-0. Agxem defended well to protect the two-goal lead till the final whistle. Allan Peixoto of Agxem was named as the Man of the match.
