Ambelim Sports Club defeated United Sports Academy Calangute 7–4 to advance to the next round of the 2nd Parish Cup 2025, organised by Parish Youth Nuvem at the Nuvem ground on Monday.
The tournament was inaugurated with the first kick by Chairman Fr. Venancio Fernandes during the opening match.
For Ambelim, Bleston Simoes and Joven Fernandes scored a brace each, while Ozen Silva, Velroy Fernandes and Joshua Pinto added one goal apiece. For Calangute, Runaul Shirodkar netted twice, and Pedro Gonsalves and Carl D’Souza scored one goal each.
Velroy Fernandes of Ambelim Sports Club was awarded the Man of the Match by Parish Youth Nuvem President, Vinson Quadros.
