Dempo Sports Club registered a 2-0 victory over Calangute Association in their Goa Professional League fixture.
The opening period was competitive, with both sides looking to establish control. Dempo made the breakthrough from a set piece when a corner delivery by Arnold Oliveira was met by Stenis Touthang, who finished to give his side the lead. Calangute remained organised and continued to contest the midfield battle, but clear chances were limited.
After the break, Dempo extended their advantage through a direct attacking move. Murphy Fernandes launched a long throw, which was controlled and calmly converted by Swavel Furtado to make it 2-0. Both teams had further opportunities, but neither could add to the scoreline, as Dempo managed the closing stages to seal the win.
