Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao registered their third consecutive Goa University inter-collegiate weightlifting men's title after winning the 2023-25 championship.
Bhaskar Gain of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda who participated in the Up to & Including 81kg Category won ‘Iron Man of Goa University' title with a performance in total weight of 270kgs in the Snatch and Clean & Jerk events. Interestingly, this year’s championship saw a total of seven new championship records created.
The chief guest of the championship, Prof Dilip Arolkar, Principal of DM’s College and Research Centre, Assagao, and guest of honour Jayesh Naik, Joint Secretary, Indian Weightlifting Federation, along with Balachandra B Jadar, Asst Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa University, graced the occasion and presented trophies and medals to the winners.
