FC Goa has signed midfielder Dejan Dražić, marking their first-ever signing from Serbia. Dražić has agreed to a two-year contract and will don the club's iconic orange jersey for the 2024-25 season and beyond.

Q-How do you feel after signing for FC Goa?

"I'm happy to join FC Goa and start a new chapter in my football career. After many years in Europe, I'm ready for this new challenge. I've heard great things about the Indian Super League from my Serbian friends who played here. They all spoke highly of FC Goa, saying it's one of the best and most organized clubs in the country. Speaking with the management, who were very direct and persistent, made me feel valued. My goal is to help the team contend for the league and cup competitions."

Q-What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear about India and Goa?

"I've heard only positive things about the organization and life in Goa. The FC Goa management explained everything in detail, and I liked what I heard. I looked online to see if I recognized any teammates or coaching staff. My wife has a list of everything else I need to know (laughs)."

Q-Your thoughts on coach Manolo and the squad?

"I haven't spoken much with them yet. Everyone wished me a good welcome. I'll be there soon, so there will be time for everything."

Q- This will be the first time you will be playing outside the European continent. How do you feel, and what are the challenges?

"It’s a new experience, challenge, and culture, so it will be very interesting. I have played in several countries outside Serbia and enjoyed them all. I like new challenges and am eager to come to India and prove myself."

Q -Thoughts on the fans of FC Goa?

"I received a lot of messages from the FC Goa fans. I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome and promise to fulfill their expectations."

Q -FC Goa is yet to win the ISL trophy. What do you have to say about this, and how will you contribute to winning it this season?

"That's football; it happens. FC Goa has been league champions before, but they haven't won the ISL Cup yet. It’s another challenge for me. I would love to help the team win the Cup for the club and the fans. Winning the league would also be our objective!"

Q -Have you watched any ISL or FC Goa matches/highlights in the past? What’s your reaction, and who (player/team) did you like?

"I haven’t watched many games, but from my experience with Spanish coaches, I believe they play nice football. I like that, and I am keen to get started here."

FC Goa fans can look forward to seeing Dražić in action as he brings his experience and skills to help the team achieve their goals.
