Goalkeeper Arshdeep Singh is leaving FC Goa and heading to Hyderabad FC. The two clubs have agreed to end his contract with FC Goa, allowing Singh to join the Hyderabad-based team.

Singh first joined FC Goa on June 30, 2022, with a contract that was supposed to run until May 31, 2026. FC Goa had extended his contract on June 26, 2024, through the 2025-26 season due to his strong performances. However, he will now be making the switch to Hyderabad FC.

Last season, Singh played 15 games for FC Goa under coach Manolo Marquez. He kept 7 clean sheets, made 22 saves, and had 19 clearances, although his passing accuracy was 42%. Despite these contributions, Singh will move to Hyderabad FC.

At 26, Singh began his career at the AIFF Elite Academy and gained recognition with Minerva Punjab FC, playing a key role in their 2017-18 I-League win and the 2019 AFC Cup. He later played for Odisha FC before joining FC Goa. In his time with FC Goa, Singh made 17 appearances in the Indian Super League, conceding just 14 goals and keeping eight clean sheets. Overall, he had 11 clean sheets in 21 matches for the team.

Manolo Marquez, the head coach at FC Goa, had praised Singh, noting his excellent fit for the team’s style and his ability to help build attacks from the back.

In a related development, former Hyderabad FC goalkeeper Laxmikant Kattimani has returned to FC Goa.
