Fr Agnel Youth Sports Club Paroda trounced Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club 4-1 to win the 18th Uguem Rising Club Cup 2022 football tournament at Uguem ground.
Paroda opened the scoring in the 10th minute through Joy Fernandes. In the 20th minute, Paroda netted their second goal scored by Rebello. Fifteen minutes after crossing over, Paroda scored the third goal through Joy Fernandes and in the 20th minute of the second half, they scored the fourth through Fedrich. Areal scored their lone goal in the 25th minute of second half.
Trophies were presented at the hands of Subhash Phal Dessai (chief guest) and Nilesh Cabral (guest of honour). Fr Abel Greg Fernandes presided over the function.
Individual prizes: Man of the match and first scorer - Joy Fernandes (Paroda), Best defender - Savio Vales (Paroda), Best goalkeeper - Parvesh Borkar, Best midfielder - John Gomendes (Areal).
