CA scored a comprehensive 9-wicket victory over Goa Press in the Friendship Cup cricket match at GCA Ground here today.
Electing to bat first, Goa Press posted a challenging total of 128/5. Shailesh Zantye was the top scorer with 46 runs. He shared a 59-runs partnership for the 4th wicket with Yatin Bakhle (27). Sachin Surlikar scored 17 runs.
GCA's Vijay Kudtarkar and Raghuveer Kunkolikar took two wickets each.
In reply, GCA openers Govind Lotlikar (63) and Anup (20) provided a solid start to put their team on track for victory. Prashant Fatarpekar scored 16 runs. Goa Press' Anirudha Raul took one wicket.
Govind Lotlikar was named best batsman while Vijay Kudtarkar was adjudged best bowler. Prizes were distributed at hands of GCA president Mahesh Desai and GCA secretary Tulshidas Shetye.
