Guardian Angel SC secured a convincing 2-0 victory over CAC Cansaulim to book their spot in the quarterfinals of the 3rd Fr. Bruno Leitao Memorial Inter-Village Football Tournament, organized by the Union of Chinchinim Villagers and held at the Chinchinim Church Ground.
The match began on a cautious note, with both teams testing each other’s defenses. In the 13th minute, CAC’s Cidroy D’Souza came close to scoring, but his effort was brilliantly saved by the Guardian Angel goalkeeper. The first half ended goalless.
In the second half, Guardian Angel came out with renewed energy. Their efforts paid off in the 42nd minute when Regan Costa found the back of the net to give his side the lead. Just four minutes later, Regan doubled the advantage with his second goal of the match, sealing the victory for Guardian Angel.
The match ended 2-0 in favour of Guardian Angel SC.
Regan Costa was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance and crucial brace.
