Ishaan sets up title clash with Ashank in U11 Boys finals

Top seed Ishaan Colaso will take on second seed Ashank Dalvi in the Under-11 Boys finals of the YMCA Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament being played at the Indoor Stadium, Campal, while in the Under-13 Boys category, Ruhaan Shaikh, Ishaan Colaso, Yuvaan Sanke and Vedant Wagle booked their berths in the semi-finals.

Organised by YMCA Panjim in aegis with the Goa Table Tennis Association, the opening day witnessed some thrilling action and dominant displays from Goa’s best young paddlers.

In the U11 Boys quarterfinals, Ishaan Colaso (1) outclassed Rayansh Sawant 3-0, while Shreysht Rane overcame Aarish Shaikh 3-1. Kedar Nair outplayed Vardhan Verlekar 3-0, and Ashank Dalvi (2) cruised past Kavin Hasija with a 3-0 win. The semifinals saw both top seeds advance comfortably, as Ishaan brushed aside Shreysht Rane 3-0 and Ashank downed Kedar Nair 3-0. Meanwhile, in the U13 Boys quarterfinals, Ruhaan Shaikh (1) eased past Kaushik Nair 3-0, Ishaan Colaso (5) upset third seed Yug Prabhu 3-1, Yuvaan Sanke (4) defeated Ashank Dalvi 3-0, and second seed Vedant Wagle overcame Kavish Dalvi 3-1 to complete the semifinal lineup.
