The Girls U-17 Chess team of Jnyan Vikas School brought laurels to the institution by securing the 3rd place in the Interschool Bardez Taluka Chess Competition organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA). The event was held at the Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa, recently.
The talented team comprised Manasvi Nawar, Trisha Naik, Prajwala Gawas, and Jahnavi Kerkar, whose strategic moves and steady focus earned them a spot on the victory podium.
The team was ably guided and supported by teachers-in-charge Tr. Sagar and Tr. Vinda, whose encouragement and mentorship played a key role in the success.
The achievement not only reflects the students’ dedication and hard work but also highlights the school’s commitment to promoting sports alongside academics.
