Manchester 8 of Panjim Boys lifted the Late Nicolas (Nikush) Mascarenhas Memorial Football Tournament Trophy, organised by Alto de Guimaraes Boys by defeating Guimaraes 8 Boys by 2-0, played at Lar Ground, Altinho, Panaji.
The winning team of Manchester 8 comprised of Peter, Nascimento, Josiah, Mahesh (Shitu), Sanket, Trojan, Jorgit, Adit, Rahul and Silvestre. Sanket and Josiah Rebello scored for Manchester 8. Silvestre Estibeiro was the star of the match as he made some brilliant saves from Guimaraes 8 Boys striker Johnny to keep the slate clean. Dy Mayor of CCP, Vasant Agshikar, who was the Chief Guest handed over the winner’s trophy to the Captain of Manchester 8 of Panjim Boys, Peter D’Silva, at Lar ground.
