The two-day Fit For Life Inter-School Swimming Championships, organised by Fit For Life in association with The Ardee School, concluded on the evening of December 22, 2025, at The Ardee School campus in Sangolda.
The championship witnessed participation from 78 schools and over 200 young swimmers representing Goa, Belgaum, Bangalore, Hubli, Mysore and Kolhapur. The event was marked by keen competition and commendable sportsmanship across all age groups.
The Manovikas English Medium School emerged as the overall champions, while The Ardee School finished as runners-up. Nidhi Sadanand Kulkarni was adjudged the Fastest Female Swimmer of the meet, and Sarthak Shreyakar claimed the Fastest Male Swimmer title.
In the girls’ individual championship, winners were Shrushti Kangralkar (Group 1), Nidhi Sadanand Kulkarni (Group 2), Raaya Nappoly Bhalla (Group 3), Siddhi Sidhesh Sawant (Group 4) and Darshika Nitturkar (Group 5). Nirali Somanath Hingamiri and Anayka Aniket Phatarpekar were named Budding Superstars.
In the boys’ category, Yashraj V Pawashe (Group 1), Sarthak Shreyakar (Group 2), Ruslan Alam (Group 3), Arjun Amol Salunke (Group 4) and Harshvardhan Ketan Karlekar (Group 5) emerged as individual champions. Dishan V Gowda received the Budding Superstar award.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest and PWD Minister Mr Digambar Kamat spoke about his vision of taking swimming to the grassroots level. He praised Fit For Life for organising multiple events throughout the year and for providing young swimmers with platforms to showcase and develop their talent.
Guest of Honour Yogiraj Kamat, President of the Goa Swimming Association, congratulated Fit For Life and The Ardee School on the successful conduct of the championship. He also appreciated Fit For Life’s initiative of conducting free drowning-prevention awareness sessions for schools and institutions across the region.
