CANACONA
Bharat Ratna awardee and cricketing legend Sachin R. Tendulkar will inaugurate the newly constructed ‘Kala Krida Angan’ – a multipurpose auditorium and indoor cricket pitch at CPI’s Shri Mallikarjun Vidyalaya, Char Rasta, Canacona.
The grand ceremony is scheduled to take place on August 22, at 11 am, at the school campus. The auditorium has been envisioned as "where champions train and legends begin", and is designed to host sports, cultural, and academic activities—marking a significant leap in educational infrastructure in the region.
Shri Mallikarjun Vidyalaya, which includes its Nursery, Pre-Primary, Primary, High School, and Higher Secondary School (Arts, Science & Commerce), is managed by Centro Promotor De Instrucao (CPI).
According to a press note issued by CPI, the Kala Krida Angan aims to nurture young talent through world-class facilities that will benefit students of Canacona and surrounding areas, reflecting the institution's commitment to holistic development and educational excellence.
The event will also be graced by a host of dignitaries like Guest of Honour Chetan Manju Desai, Chairman, DPM’s Shree Mallikarjun & Shri Chetan Manju Desai College, Delem. Special guests include Shailesh Sinai Zingde, Director, Directorate of Education, Goa, Rohan Gauns Dessai, Joint Secretary, BCCI. The special invitee will be Dr. Ajit G. Desai, Renowned Interventional Cardiologist, Mumbai, Rajendra Desai, President, Shree Mallikarjun Devasthan, Canacona.
The event will see the participation of Babuso Naik Gaunkar, President, CPI General Assembly and Shamba M. Naik Dessai, President, CPI Managing Committee, alongside members of the General Assembly, Managing Committee, PTA, school faculty, students, and parents.
