St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa won Inter Collegiate Hockey Men Championship 2025-26, organized by Goa University at Hockey Turf, Dayanand Bandodkar Krida Sankool, Peddem, Mapusa held recently.
In the well contested hockey Men’s finals, St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa defeated Sridora Caculo college, winning by full time score of 5-2.
In the Men’s semifinals, St. Xavier’s College defeated Government College, Pernem by 2-1 and Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies, Mapusa defeated Government College Quepem by 4-0.
In total 9 men teams participated in the four days Inter College Hockey Men Championship.
Best player Men was awarded to Sandesh Honakhande from St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa.
Prof. Santosh B. Patkar, Principal S. Caculo College, Mapusa, Associate Prof. Smriti Borkar, vice-Principal of Sridora Caculo College, Mapusa, Tony Salema, Administrator- St. Xavier’s College and Cap. Dr. Sam Braganza, College Director of Physical Education and Sports, Govt. college Pernem along with Balachandra B. Jadar, Asst. Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa University presented medals and trophies to the winners and runners ups.
