United Sports Club of Seraulim dominated Super Goans FC with a comprehensive 4-0 win to complete finals of GFA U-17 Division II League at Duler Stadium, Mapusa. Goals from Alvito Pereira (27') and Rahul Sherpali (35') gave them a strong first-half lead. In the second half, Aniket Kumar (70') and substitute Nikhil Thapa (75') added to the tally in a confident display.
Seraulim reach Cavelossim UK Cup semis
MARGAO: United Club of Seraulim booked a place in the Cavelossim Villagers UK Cup 2025 semifinals with a 3-2 win via penalty shootout over Ambelim after a goalless draw in regulation time at the Fr Druston and Wellington Ground. Goalkeeper Joyrin Braganza was the hero, saving two crucial spot-kicks. He was named the Man of the Match, and the award presented by Dixon Vaz (Chairman, Santa Cruz Club and Sarpanch of VP Cavelossim). Ashley Fernandes, Oliver D’Souza, and Gloditon Braganza converted for Seraulim, who will now face San Jose de Areal on May 20.
Piedadigal FC enter semifinals
MARGAO: Piedadigal Football Club advanced to the semifinals of the Fondegal Youth Club 9-A-Side Interward Football Tournament 2025 with a 2-1 win over Corjem Youth Club at the St Alex Church Ground. Goals from Prince and Frezer put Piedadigal ahead, while Aiden pulled one back late for Corjem with a header. Afelio Fernandes of Piedadigal was named Man of the Match.
