Former Fisheries Minister Avertano Furtado has been elected as the President of the newly formed association dedicated to the Wellbeing of Elder Sportspersons.
The association will work towards supporting and uplifting the lives of former athletes across various disciplines.
The executive committee comprises several well-known figures from the Goan sports fraternity, with Padma Shri Brahmanand Shankwalkar serving as Mentor to the organization.
