BPS Pickleball C'ship: Noronha-Godinho clinch men’s doubles 50+ title

Clarence Noronha and Rajendra Godinho claimed the Men’s Doubles 50+ title at the BPS Open Pickleball Championship 2026, closing a strong campaign with an 11-5, 11-8 victory over Noel Noronha and Wilfred Jacques.
The three-day tournament, held at the BPS Sports Club in Margao, concluded with multiple closely contested finals across age groups and categories.
In the Open Mixed Doubles final, Kane Roncon Pereira and Ruta Borkar dominated Joshua Menezes and Audrey Menezes 11-2, 11-5 to lift the title after an unbeaten run through the knockout stages.
Rahil Peris and Torcato Vaz secured the Men’s Doubles (Open) crown, rallying to beat Immanuel Rohan and Joshua Menezes 6-11, 11-5, 11-7 in a three-game final. Immanuel Rohan added another title by winning the Men’s Singles 35+ final, defeating Nihaal Borkar 15-8.
Earlier, Clarence and Rajendra had reached the Men’s Doubles 50+ final with a 15-7 semifinal win over Gaurav Sapra and Karan Singh, while Noel and Wilfred advanced after beating Bipin Kantak and Subodh Shevde 15-8.
In the Open Mixed Doubles semifinals, Kane and Ruta overcame Vishnu and Aditi Chodankar 15-7, while Joshua and Audrey defeated Immanuel and Aarushi 15-6.
