Guardian Angel Sports Club defeated Youth Club of Manora 2-0 in the GFA President’s Relegation League at Duler, Mapusa on Friday. There was no score at half time.
Both the teams started the game on a sedate note. As the match progressed both the teams showed urgency and tested each others goal but luck eluded them.
Crossing over, Guardian Angel SC put up an improved display and their efforts bore fruits when U-20 defender Rahul Rodriguez punted the ball to the far corner of the net. Stung by the goal, Manora tried their best but failed to beat the rival defence. Guardian Angel’s midfielder Gilbert Olveira converted a spot-kick in the 80th minute (2-0).
