Priya Dubey and Meeta Shah scored two goals each for Warriors to beat India Rush 5-0 in the Women Seniors semi-final at the 14th Joe Fernandis Hockey Tournament being played at the St. Stanislaus High School astroturf ground, Bandra, Mumbai.
They will face-off with Sai Blue in the finals on June 15.
In the Men Seniors semi-finals, Mansi Foundation beat Mumbai Postal 3-2 in a close match while Champions Training Centre (CTC) Red, known for their practice sessions, beat Republicans 4-0 with Dhuri Pratamesh scoring three goals.
In the Men’s Elite Semi-finals, Union Bank beat Central Railway 4-1. In the second Men's Elite Semi-finals, CTC White beat Mumbai Customs 2-1 in the shootout, after being 1-1 in full time.
The Joe Fernandis Hockey Tournament is jointly organised by St Peter's Youth Centre, along with Ambernath Hockey Welfare Association (AHWA). Hockey legends Joaquim Carvalho and Mervyn Fernandis provide the technical support.
