Curtorim Gymkhana scored a hard-fought 3-2 win over United Club of Nerul in an exciting match to storm into the semifinal of the 14th London Trophy organised by Goa Velha Sports Club and played on Goa Velha Sports Club ground.
Mario Mascarenhas put Curtorim Gymkhana ahead in the 10th minute of play. Yeshwant More equalised for United Club of Nerul in the 29th minute. The score was 1-1 at the lemon break.
Curtorim Gymkhana were lucky to go ahead in the 39th minute of play when UC Nerul’s Siddhant Kalangutkar put the ball in his own nets to put Curtorim Gymkhana 2-1 ahead.
Curtorim Gymkhana made it 3-1 through the boots of Milagres Fernandes in the 49th minute of play. Sanket Jotkar reduced the margin for United Club of Nerul in the 65th minute.
