Sporting Clube de Goa appointed Augusto Silva as the new head coach after replacing Spanish coach Fernando Santiago Varela.

Silva brings valuable experience to the role, having previously been associated with Maharashtra Santosh Trophy and I-League 2 side Maharashtra Oranje FC. Known for his tactical awareness and team-building abilities.

Meanwhile, Savio Vaz will continue to serve as Technical Director of the club, overseeing broader football operations. Although Vaz had earlier contributed significantly to the team’s success, coaching limitations due to licensing requirements prevented him from taking up the head coach role officially.

Vaz remains a key figure in the club’s structure, having previously led The Flaming Orange to a Pro League title triumph. His continued involvement in a strategic role is expected to support the coach.
