CRC Chinchinim advanced to the semifinals of the All Goa Inter-Village Football Tournament, organised by Navelim Sporting Club, after defeating Chandor Club 3-1 at the Rosary Church Ground, Navelim on Wednesday.
Rowan Fernandes opened the scoring in the 10th minute to give CRC a crucial lead.
Shario Gomes then took charge of the game with a quick brace, scoring in the 15th and 20th minutes to extend Chinchinim’s advantage and put them firmly in control.
Chandor Club managed to pull one back in the 29th minute through Hayden Fijardo, but they were unable to build on the momentum despite their efforts.
Om Raikar of CRC Chinchinim was adjudged Player of the Match and the award was presented by Damaciano Mascarenhas, member of Navelim SC.
