The second edition of the BPS Open Pickleball Championship 2026 will be held from February 6 to 8 at the BPS Sports Club premises in Margao.
The three-day tournament will feature multiple age-group and open categories. Matches on February 6 will include Men’s Singles 60+, 35+ Mixed Doubles, 50+ Singles, Under-12 and Under-16 events. The February 7 schedule will comprise 50+ Mixed Doubles, 60+ Doubles, 35+ Doubles and Men’s Open Singles. The championship will conclude on February 8 with Open Mixed Singles, 50+ Doubles, 35+ Doubles and Open Men’s Doubles, followed by finals.
Defending champions Nihaal Borkar in 35+ Men’s Singles and the pairing of Dr Akhil Lawande and Nihaal Borkar in 35+ Men’s Doubles are expected to participate again.
The tournament is being organised in association with the Goa Pickleball Association.
Manguirish, secretary of the BPS Sports Club, said, “The BPS All Goa Major Ranking Pickleball Tournament has a record prize pool of Rs 5 lakhs — the largest in Goa. Building on last year’s success, the tournament has expanded its categories, offering more opportunities for players across age groups and skill levels.”
He also acknowledged the support of Mayur Sawkar, Rajesh Khaute, Manoj Patil and Sandeep Heble in organising the event. Organisers said the championship is part of efforts to strengthen competitive pickleball in the State.
