CAC Cansaulim edged past Curtorim Gymkhana 5-3 via a tiebreaker to book their place in the quarterfinals of the Our Lady of Fatima Cup 2025, organized by Dicarpale Sports Club at the Dicarpale Ground on Thursday.
Cansaulim had an early opportunity to take the lead in the 3rd minute, but Kevin Pereira failed to convert. Moments later, Manuel Castanha of Curtorim Gymkhana came close but his effort narrowly missed the target.
With the teams deadlocked at the end of regulation time, the match was decided through a tiebreaker, where CAC Cansaulim held their nerve and emerged superior from the spot.
Chadwick Furtado of CAC Cansaulim was named Man of the Match, and received the award from Domnic Costa, Sports Secretary of Dicarpale Sports Club.
