MARGAO: Raitura Sports Club edged past Futebol Club YFA with a 3-2 victory in the Salcete Zone GFA Third Division League match held at Rosary Ground, Navelim on Thursday.
Raitura dominated the opening half, launching a flurry of attacks from the outset. Their efforts paid off in the 13th minute when Myron Pereira fired a quick shot past the goalkeeper to give his side the lead. Edison Dias extended the advantage in the 24th minute, putting Raitura firmly in control by halftime.
After the break, Futebol YFA responded with more urgency, troubling the Raitura defense through sporadic forays. Their persistence was rewarded in the 55th minute when Shanon Furtado pulled one back. However, Raitura struck again just four minutes later, with Ozie Dias netting to make it 3-1 and restore the two-goal cushion.
Futebol YFA refused to back down, and substitute Adler Telles reduced the deficit in the 68th minute, but it proved too little too late as Raitura held on for the win.
