Cuncolim Union will lock horns with Navelim Villagers Union in the much-anticipated final of the United Trophy Inter-Village Football Tournament, organized by the United Club of Telaulim. The final will take place on Sunday at the Rosary Ground, Navelim.
The event will be graced by esteemed dignitaries. Churchill Alemao, former Chief Minister of Goa, will be the Chief Guest, while Advocate Valanka Alemao, Chairperson of the AIFF Women's Football Committee, will attend as the Guest of Honour. Rev. Fr Gabriel Coutinho, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Rosary Church, Navelim, will preside over the function.
In the semi-finals, Cuncolim Union registered a convincing 2–0 win over Sao Jose de Areal, while Navelim Villagers Union edged past Parish Youth Nuvem with a 3–2 victory.
The champions of the tournament will walk away with a cash prize of ₹60,000, while the runners-up will receive ₹40,000.
