Tridents Cricket Club emerged victorious in the Friendship Shield 2025 T20 Leather Ball Cricket Tournament, defeating Madgaon Royal Warriors by 4 wickets in an exciting final held at SK Ground.
Madgaon Royal Warriors won the toss and opted to bat first. Led by a superb knock of 85 runs from Viraj Puranik and 21 from Sanat Prabhudesai, they posted a competitive total of 171/7 in 20 overs. Tridents’ bowlers kept things in check, with Siddhant Kunde taking 2/28 and Sujay Fadte contributing 1/21.
In reply, Tridents CC chased down the target in 18.2 overs, finishing at 173/6. The chase was anchored by Darshan Karekar, who top-scored with 47, and supported by Bansil Pandya (43), Sahil Bukkam (19), and Viraj Khandeparkar (19). For Madgaon, Ganraj Desai and Siddesh Pandit took a wicket each, both finishing with 1/31.
Darshan Karekar was named Player of the Match for his match-winning performance. He received the award from Sanat Sincro and Sanket Singbal.
