Dando Boys of Benaulim edged past Parish Youth Nuvem 4–2 via a tie-breaker to book their place in the quarterfinals of the Varca Panchayat Cup, organised by Varca Sports Club at the Varca Ground on Friday.
The teams went into the break locked in a goalless first half and continued to trade attacks after the restart, but neither side could find the breakthrough during regulation time, forcing the match into penalties.
In the shootout, Dando Boys of Benaulim converted through Vishal Fernandes, Arif Pathan, Ivis Fernandes and Faisal Bepari, while Joywin Costa and Darwin Colaco scored for Parish Youth Nuvem.
Vishal Fernandes of United Boys of Benaulim was adjudged Man of the Match.
United Boys of Dando will face Varca Sports Club in the quarterfinal on December 1.
