The seventh edition of the Goan Champions League concluded with high energy and enthusiasm, wrapping up what organisers described as the tournament’s most electrifying season yet.
The championship, powered by Himmat International Properties, witnessed two months of intense competition, impressive performances and growing fan engagement.
Mapusa Kings lifted the coveted Goan Champions League title, defeating strong contenders Ponda Bhaijans, who finished as runners-up. Panjim Titans and Margao Giants completed the semifinal lineup after consistent displays throughout the league.
In the individual honours, Raja (Ponda Bhaijans) claimed the Best Bowler award for his incisive spells, while teammate Suhaid Rafiq was named Best Batsman for his prolific scoring. Suhaid Patel (Mapusa Kings) dominated the awards night, winning both the Man of the Tournament and Man of the Finals titles for his all-round contributions and match-winning performance in the final.
The closing ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Javed Ahamad, CEO and Founder of Himmat International Properties. Guests of Honour included Sheikh Afroz (SG) and Azeem Sheikh, CEO of UV. Other dignitaries present were Altaf Shaikh (UV), Parvez Parishwadi (Nexal Logistics), Firoz Shaikh (Frame Colours) and members of the Smart Amigoa committee.
The organisers also acknowledged the efforts of officials who ensured smooth conduct of the event, including umpires Kutub, Wasim and Zaid, scorers Huzef and Gani, and commentators Abu and Atif.
