MCC Knights registered a solid 5-wicket victory over MCC Thunder in their MCL 11 T20 clash played at the MCC Ground, Margao. Chasing a target of 167, the Knights showed composure to finish the match in 19.3 overs.
Batting first, MCC Thunder posted 166/8 in 20 overs, powered by important contributions from Dr. Pawan Rane (39 off 23 balls), Dr. Rohan Badve (29) and Ved Mahambre (29).
For the Knights, Shaunit Sawardekar (2/23) led the bowling attack, while Kapil D. S. Borker, Vipul Kalekar and Vinay Sambari picked up a wicket each.
In reply, MCC Knights chased down the target with collective efforts. Ameet Kakode (36 off 21 balls) provided an aggressive start, followed by crucial knocks from Kapil D. S. Borker (32) and an unbeaten 35 from Pranav Biche, guiding the team to victory.
