CURCHOREM
The annual Sports Meet and prize distribution function of Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School, Curchorem was held recently at Figueiredo ground, Curchorem with great enthusiasm and participation. The event began with an impressive opening ceremony, officially declared open by the chief guest in the presence of other dignitaries.
A variety of sporting events and displays marked the day. Students took part in line jumble march and colourful hat drill, followed by track events including the 100mts, 200mts, 400mts and 1500 mts races for both boys and girls. The energetic tug-of-war competition added excitement, while the Zumba dance and aerobics display showcased the student talent and team spirit.
During the programme, a retired staff member was felicitated for her dedicated service receiving warm appreciation from the management, staff, PTA and students.
The sports meet concluded on a joyful note with the prize distribution ceremony. Later PE teacher Antonio D'Souza lowered the school flag and handed it over to the Principal Fr. Walter Miranda.
