Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda marched into the semi-finals of the Curtorim Villagers Cup 2025 with a 4-2 victory over Raia Sporting in a thrilling quarterfinal match played at the St. Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Friday. The tournament is being organized by Curtorim Gymkhana.
Don Bosco Fatorda took an early lead in the 5th minute through Edgar Noronha, who found the net with a fine finish. The lead was doubled in the 10th minute when Shubert Colaco slotted home after a well-placed pass from Charles Miranda.
Raia Sporting reduced the deficit in the 18th minute with a goal from Garrison Fernandes, ending the first half at 2-1 in favour of Fatorda.
In the second half, Don Bosco extended their lead in the 40th minute through Charles Miranda to make it 3-1. Raia struck back in the 45th minute, with Sheehan Fernandes converting a pass from Garrison Fernandes to bring the score to 3-2. However, Edgar Noronha sealed the win for Fatorda with his second goal in the 55th minute, ending the match at 4-2.
Edgar Noronha of Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda was named Man of the Match and received the award from Francis Fernandes, former Curtorim Gymkhana player.
