Football Club of Siolim pipped Guardian Angel Curchorem 1–0 in a tightly contested match to advance to the next round of the 1st All Goa Inter Village Mansion House Cup 2025. The tournament, organized by Cuncolim Union, was played on Friday at the Cuncolim ground.
Guardian Angel SC started strongly, with Regan Costa coming close twice in the 15th and 16th minutes, assisted by Adriano Gomes, who continued to press but found limited support in the attacking third.
Siolim gradually gained control, and the breakthrough came in the 42nd minute when Pushparaj Mandrekar capitalized on a defensive error, dispossessing the goalkeeper before calmly slotting the ball into the net to give Siolim a 1–0 lead at halftime.
The second half saw Guardian Angel increase the pressure, with Valentino Carvalho’s shot blocked in the 51st minute and Cruz Gomes forcing a fine save two minutes later. Mandrekar nearly extended Siolim’s lead but fired over the bar.
Siolim’s defense held firm to secure a narrow but vital victory.
The Mansion House Man of the Match award was presented to Mayuresh Naik of Football Club of Siolim for his tireless efforts. The award was handed over by Vineet Kumar Bothra, Sales Manager of Tilaknagar Industries Ltd.
