The Goa Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) has announced the selection of the Goa State Elite Men’s and Women’s Boxing Teams for the 9th Elite Men and Women National Boxing Championships, scheduled to be held from January 3 to 11, 2026, at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The selections were made following Selection Trials conducted successfully on December 7, 2025, at St. Anthony’s High School, Monte de Guirim, Bardez, Goa. Boxers from various RCC centres across the state participated in the trials.
Elite Men’s Team: 47–50 kg: Laximan Toralkar (RCC Peddem); 50–55 kg: Vishal Chourasiya (RCC Jab & Box)
55–60 kg: Nitesh Chawan (RCC Peddem); 60–65 kg: Shrinivash Lamani (RCC SDM); 65–70 kg: Vedant Korgaonkar (RCC Peddem); 70–75 kg: Sahil Vaidande (RCC Peddem)
Elite Women’s Team 48–51 kg: Shravani Gurav (RCC Peddem); 51–54 kg: Siya Walke (RCC Peddem)
The Goa Amateur Boxing Association is affiliated with the Boxing Federation of India and the Goa Olympic Association, and is recognised by the Sports Authority of Goa and the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Goa.
The selected boxers will now undergo preparatory training as they aim to bring laurels to the state at the national level.
