MARGAO: Goa’s rising chess star IM Ethan Vaz delivered a spectacular performance at the 27th Asian Youth Chess Championships 2025 in Bangkok, sweeping six medals across Classical, Rapid and Blitz formats.
Competing in the challenging Under-16 (Sub-Junior) category, he powered India’s campaign with 1 Team Silver, 2 Team Bronzes and 3 Individual Bronzes. The championship was held from November 20 to 30 , marking one of Ethan’s strongest international showings to date.
