MARGAO: The Karuna Football Foundation, through its ACTS (Aspire Community Transformation School) initiative, distributed blankets, sweaters, shawls and other winter essentials to tribal families in and around Sultan Bathery, marking over a year since the programme was launched following the Wayanad landslide tragedy.

ACTS was initiated to support community-based engagement using football as a medium, with a focus on leadership development and life skills. The programme has continued its work among vulnerable groups in the region.

The winter clothing was distributed to families living in forest areas where temperatures have dropped to around 8 degrees Celsius. Many of these families face difficulties due to remoteness and limited access to basic resources.

The Foundation stated that the initiative remains part of its ongoing community outreach efforts in the region.
